Eileen Therese Batty (nee Lakin)

 Passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, after a short illness, aged 90 years. Much loved wife of the late Norman, loved mum and mother-in-law of Mark and Sue, Lynne and Jane, Grandma and Nana of Hannah and James Heslop, Kurt and Tash, Jackson and Taylor; Rebekah, Sophie and Charlotte, Great-Grandmother of Mabel and Reuben. Loved sister and sister-in-law of the late Patricia and Ian (Boop) Nancekivell, Tony and the late Glenys Lakin and the late Lois Dowrick, Aunt and Great-Aunt of all her nieces and nephews. Eileen will be sadly missed by her extended family and friends. A special Thank You to all of Eileen’s caregivers at Elms Court on Middlepark and all the staff at Christchurch Hospital. A Celebration of Eileen’s life will be held in the Academy Funeral Services Chapel, 65 Main South Road, Upper Riccarton, on Saturday, March 1, at 11.00am. Private cremation thereafter
