Walter James Prebble

Passed away in the early hours of 21 October, 2026; aged 98 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Eileen and a treasured father and father-in-law of Gray and Nel, Karen and Mike, and Lyn and Gary. Adored grandfather of Matt, Sean, Ben, Ryan, Yvette, Toby, Lexi, Nick, Tane and Ariana. A great-grandfather of 22, and great-great-grandfather of two. Brother-in-law of Margaret, Ron and Jean and a good friend to Barry and Pam.  A gentle, kind, and calm man whose love and wisdom touched many lives. The family extends its sincere thanks to the caring staff of Golden Age Retirement Home for the kindness and support they provided Walter in recent months. Walter will be farewelled in All Saints Prebbleton Church, 9 Blakes Road, Prebbleton, on Tuesday, 27 October, at 1.00pm. Followed by interment in the All Saints Cemetery.
