Metuatini, June Frances (Nee Gough). Peacefully at home, with loving family; aged 81 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Kiria, much loved mother of Karina, Michael, Raita, Kiria, Kura, Michelle and Rachel. It is with shattered hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful Mum, Nana, great-nana, great-great nana, sister, aunty and dear friend to many. After a long and courageous fight, she passed away peacefully surrounded by the people who loved her dearly at 8am on Thursday, August 20, 2026. Our hearts are broken, but we find comfort knowing she is now at peace, free from pain and reunited with those who went before her. A celebration of June’s life will be held in the Academy Funeral Services Chapel, 65 Main South Road, Upper Riccarton, on Wednesday, August 26, at 11.00am. Interment thereafter at Memorial Park cemetery.
