Russell Leonard Barr

Peacefully, on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Homesteadcare Ilam, aged 80 years. Loving husband of Valerie, much loved father and father-in-law of Gary and partner Debbie, Darryl and Rhonda, Nigel and Jolene, dearly loved Pop of Laura, Kieran, and Hayden; Kelly-Ann, Courtney, and Matt; Robbie, Melissa, Zane, and Hollie, Great-Pop of Archie, and Clayton, and a loved brother of John (deceased), Lynda, Jenny, Betty, and Karen. A Celebration of Russell’s life will be held in the Academy Funeral Services Chapel, 65 Main South Road, Upper Riccarton, on Friday, April 11, at 2.00pm. Private cremation thereafter.
